Yesterday I was drawing in my sketchbook... between scanning the room-- for curious things to capture. Then like a compass, my eyes froze on my feet ...and there were my toes peeking through the holes in my socks. Of course I had to ask myself why. Why in the world am I sporting this wrangled pair? Then it hit me that I'm wearing these socks because they were the only pair I could round up. A sock here -- a sock there... but sorry no matches.
So I put two and two together and ( besides equaling a pair of really ratty socks) I realized that right on my feet I was wearing a symbol of one of my major issues ---clutter. That malady that I just can't seem to cure.
Cure? I can begin by ridding myself of useless things, then there'll be a lot less things around. (How many times have I uttered that one?) Further, I will put all my socks in the sock drawer... then perhaps I can find a decent pair of socks when I need them... (Now perhaps if I had a sock drawer...)
In the grand scheme of things I guess it doesn't really matter. After all, no one knows what goes on under the skin of my shoe. And now that you know, it can just be our little secret. But back in my own little world, it is a white flag signaling that I have once again surrendered to my realm of cluttered spaces.
So hey, isn't it so obvious that it's way past time to sew up--- this hole?

Those are big holes! :)

Haha! I like this drawing, so cute and funny.
My socks sometimes have holes in them, too. Because my dogs chew them.
