The Good, the Bad, and the Super Ugly .. Part 2

When I become obsessed there's no stopping me. And the latest recipient of my unrequited passion is a little fella named Html. So when I went shopping I knew exactly what I was going to buy... an html book. The key word here is "an" because it is a singular, not a plural. So why then did I end up with some?
First off, I stumbled on HTML in 10 Simple Steps or Less... which offered easy to understand technical information and was just what I was looking for. Then my eyes started wandering around the aisles, the shelves, the books . They landed on Teach Yourself Visually: The Fast and Easy Way to Learn HTML ... and visual is the way I do things. For example, when putting something together, I rarely read the directions. I just look at the box and go from there. So I had to have this one too.
Next... the discount table where I saw html's cousin XML for less than ten. I got that one too. Keep in mind this was day one of my mad shopping and I hadn't even stumbled upon those great deals on the clothing accessories... yet.
Okay, so with two html books plus one tucked under my arm I decide to just browse around. And of course, just as I 'm browsing my way out of the there (and being the visual person that I am) I see Pottery Barn Living Rooms. Now I love their designs so I immediately scooped that one up too. Had to have it. It was mine.
The first time I saw a PB room was on "Queer Eye (For the Straight Guy)" where the guys pottery barned some guy's whole place. I thought somewhere in the future my house will look like that. Their design is so simple and living in such a cluttered world that I come from, I guess I have to see simple somewhere, even if it is in a book. I'm posting links so you can at least view the the attractive covers.. alluring indeed.
Four books... and I guess this would maybe be considered a little less than tame.. and definitely not earth shattering for me ... but then when I went shopping the next day and saw the same PB book for ten dollars less... I wanted to scream! And I almost did until I saw Pottery Barn Bedrooms and figured hey I'm getting a good deal combining the two because instead of paying 48 dollars I only paid 38 overall so I saved 10 on the set.
What won't I do to convince myself that I am indeed sane? You know it's bad when you leave with four books instead of one...especially learning the next day you could have saved ten bucks, so you buy one more since it's way reduced. I think I liked my logic. But then the words.. bad girl.. came to mind.
Bad. Very bad for me. But it gets worse.. still. And tomorrow I get to the super ugly.
